Just a few snapshots from our Friday night Pub Night Silent Auction. Thank you to all that donated, participated or simply sent their best wishes. We can't do this without you!!
Then you have found the right place. Kindred Spirits has one goal - The complete eradication of breast cancer (and all cancers) during our lifetime. We believe it CAN happen. We know it will take lots of hard work and lots of money but we're willing to do whatever it takes to make this goal a reality. Our vision is to bring people together who are motivated to make a difference. People who will become part of our extended family, supporting and caring for each other as they inspire others to make a real difference.
We welcome both walkers and crew to our Seattle, San Diego, Michigan or Arizona teams from anywhere near or far, including out of state. Male, female, young and young at heart are all welcome to join us on this journey. We enjoy mentoring new walkers and encourage more experienced walkers to join us as well.
With ten years of team and individual fundraising experience you can be assured that your fundraising efforts will be well supported by Kindred Spirits. There will be several team fundraising opportunities available you throughout the year as well as experienced team members to bounce your individual fundraising ideas off of along the way.
You are welcome to train with Team Captain Penny Kellam as she leads training walks in Snohomish County but if that a bit far for you, you can certainly train closer to home. Regardless of where you train you will always be an important part of our Kindred Spirit family. Penny has been a Training Walk Leader and Mentor for several years and is happy to answer your training questions in person or by email.
If this is your first year participating in this incredible event you probably have a thousand questions. Don't worry, you are not alone! There is a ton of experience on this team and lots of teammates that are anxious to help. Once on the team you can choose to be matched up with an experienced Mentor to help answer questions, be your best cheerleader and provide general support along the way.
Joining an experienced team like Kindred Spirits is a great way to get even more out of the incredible adventure that is the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk. You’ll meet a great group of really amazing people that have joined together for all the right reasons. You’ll find the support and encouragement you need – while laughing yourself silly along the way. This is a serious event for a serious cause but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun while you’re there!
Drop me a note if you have any questions or need help joining our team. We look forward to meeting you!
